NEW YORK, New York City. HELP/PSI, Inc. operates multiple programs throughout New York City that provide comprehensive services to people living with HIV/AIDS who have a history of chemical dependency and are committed to recovery. Our mission is to make lives healthier in partnership. We are currently seeking a qualified Pastoral Counselor for our residential and outpatient programs in Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens. The Pastoral Counselor will provide 25 hours of services per week to address the spiritual needs of HELP/PSI clients, including but not limited to Pastoral counseling, coordinating non-denominational religious services, bereavement counseling and coordinating memorial services. These services will be made available to clients and their families/significant others. CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS: Masters in Divinity from an accredited seminary. Minimum of 2 units of clinical pastoral education. Ability to provide non-denominational services and counseling. The position also requires experience and understanding of the needs of persons living with HIV/AIDS and chemical dependency. Travel within New York City is required.
