Continuing Education

The AAPC is recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors to offer continuing education credits for National Certified Counselors. AAPC adheres to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines. Credits are based on hour-for-hour class time in quarter-hour increments. One hour of class time equals 1.0 contact hour credits. Participants are required to submit evaluation forms at the close of the conference. To receive NBCC continuing education credit, include the appropriate fee with your conference registration. Credits are accepted by numerous disciplines. Prior approval from one’s state credentialing board may be required.

Continuing Education’s (CE) for Marriage and Family Therapists are made possible by cooperation of and collaboration with seminary academic programs and their Marriage and Family Therapy programs. The content and presentation of specific workshops will be overseen by the sponsoring seminary’s Marriage and Family Therapy continuing education department. Certificates will be granted by the qualified sponsoring seminary. CE-approved educational sessions are available that include two plenary sessions. CE-approved sessions are identified within each time slot and can only be provided if you: 1) pre-register and include the fee; 2) attend entire session; 3) complete evaluation form for each approved session attended; and 4) submit evaluation form to AAPC during the conference. Please check the requirements of your state licensing board to be sure they will accept CE’s from accredited academic institutions.
